Golden Halo is a mushroom variety with a muddled origin record — variously described as a wild Jamaican collection, a Gulf Coast USA isolation, or a re-isolation of CRS — that was stabilized around 2017 by a group of mycology hobbyists from the Shroomery community. Distinguished by an unusual golden-to-rust spore coloration that sets it apart from the typical purple-brown prints of most cubensis. Studied by collectors for its rare pigmented spore phenotype.
