About the Ecuadorian Cubensis strain
Ecuadorian Cubensis is a mushroom variety originally collected at high altitude in the Andean mountains of northern Ecuador, in the region near Otavalo. Reported to have entered Western mycology circles in the 1970s through ethnobotanical fieldwork in the Andes, with a later 2000 print credited to the mycologist known as “BIO.” Distinguished by thick, meaty fruiting bodies and broad golden-caramel caps that reflect its adaptation to harsh, fluctuating mountain conditions. A classic landrace cubensis specimen.
